Practicing Edification

Edification is absolutely a necessary endeavor among Christians if one is to be in good thing standing with the Lord. Edification is preached from time to time, but not enough of God’s people take the Lord’s word to heart to strive for such. Other times, edification is nothing more than a perverted practice in the guise of “keeping the Lord’s church pure.” What we all need to recognize is that edification is a need, and must be practiced.

Welcome to "Sermons by Mitch Davis" blog. I have a strong desire to preach the whole counsel of God's word through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Too many are preaching a biased gospel message to "fit in" with a group rather than the rich teachings of Jesus Christ. My goal is to teach the simple and pure gospel of Jesus and Him crucified. Such preaching is despised by so many today, yet it is the pure and simple gospel that is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe (Rom. 1:16-17)!
