Pursue Love
Download this episode (45 min)
The paramount of Christianity is love. We have been taught what it is, exhorted to practice it and yet many still do not practice it when it is most needed. This is because true "love" is contrary to the human nature of selfishness, and thus must be genuinely sought if we are to fulfill God's greatest commandment (Matt. 22:37-39).

The First Amendment of our Constitution declares that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Somehow, along the way, our society has evolved into the concept that church and state have no relationship whatsoever with one another. What people NEED to understand is that Christianity and politics have no choice but to mix to some degree.

Download this episode (44 min)
If we are looking out for signs of stress usually see it manifested via anger, hatred, jealousy, envy, etc. We can see it through verbal and non-verbal body language: darting eyes; folded arms with a distant demeanor; demeanor of anxiety; huffing and puffing; cold shoulder; etc. Can we identify (negative) stress and its associated behavior(s) in our lives? Also, how do we handle the stresses that come our way?

My Profile
Mitch Davis

Welcome to "Sermons by Mitch Davis" blog. I have a strong desire to preach the whole counsel of God's word through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Too many are preaching a biased gospel message to "fit in" with a group rather than the rich teachings of Jesus Christ. My goal is to teach the simple and pure gospel of Jesus and Him crucified. Such preaching is despised by so many today, yet it is the pure and simple gospel that is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe (Rom. 1:16-17)!
I invite you to come and worship with us at 1348 Hwy 92 South, Fayetteville, GA 30215. You are invited to worship with us if you're in our area. Or, if you would like to have a personal Bible study (no charge of course!) please contact me: mitch@southfayettechurch.org. You can also view our website at: www.southfayettechurch.org
